There are some very easy things you can do in order to improve yourself by alkalizing your body. The first thing you need to do is arm yourself with knowledge. If you know why it works, you will be more likely to make it work. If you buy one of great books available on how to alkalize your body and have good health, you may get overwhelmed. Many of these books show a perfect world that you may not be able to reach right away. Starting slow by changing just a few things improves your chances of success. There really isn’t any reason to change everything at once unless you have a serious condition that can’t wait. If you do have a serious health problem, you will have the motivation to make all the changes at once.

Once you get going, you need to do a little research and make some real plans for your life. One thing that may help after you alkalize your body is to give yourself a “free” day. Having a free day will make the other days seem easier and one day eating less than perfect food are made up for by the days you do eat well. Once you get your body alkalized, eating junk food will make you feel sick so you probably won’t even want to have a free day of eating junk, but as long as you have the freedom to do so it will seem ok. This is the way you feel all the time before you alkalize, but you just don’t know any better yet.

Now, let’s talk aobut some ways to get started alkalizing your body. I promise you that once you get alkalized and energized, you will learn that nothing tastes as good as being truly healthy feels.
* Get yourself super-hydrated. This means drinking at least half your body weight in ounces of water. Stay away from sweet drinks and caffeine. You can make super hydration even better by mixing in an alkalizing powder like Inner Light Supergreens or Tony Robbins Green Drink into your water.
* Have vegetables with every meal. This can be a salad, brocolli, some carrots, or any of your other favorite steamed vegetables. If general, green vegetables are more alkalizing, but, for the most part, all vegetables are good.

* Avoid large doses of meat and milk products. Staying away from meat and cheese completely is best, but reducing it is better than nothing.
* Exercise. The morning is the best time because it kick starts your body for the day. While exercising, focus on all the great things the day will bring or has brought already. Be grateful for what you have been blessed with.
* Don’t think negative thoughts! Exercising really helps with this. If you are stressed out, angry, or worried, your body produces acid which is what we are trying to avoid.

I know this can seem very overwhelming, but don’t worry about being perfect. Stressing out about being perfect defeats your efforts because it creates acid in your body. Don’t focus on perfection, make sure you are making progress. Just focus on reducing or elminating a particular acidic food (the key is the or) When you think about it this way, you shouldn’t be so stressed out about being perfect. As with many things, additude is everything so make sure you don’t sabotage your efforts to alkalize!
