In Soccer practice, it doesn’t take a lot to teach and train different kinds of skills to players to get successful. Three different techniques are there that the kids can learn. There’s no significant difference in training the kids in soccer skills or some other technique. These teaching methods have been given different names by different people. I call it as “FIG”. It’ll be described for you in the following paragraphs.

Foundation: In soccer training, this consists of the base upon which the team’s coming stages and eventually the entire future as a team would rest. The lowest level trainings therefore form the basis of the game. Though these techniques are not applicable in the game but every kid must be aware of it. The team would be complete and versatile if it is based on a sound foundation follows a sound strategy.

Intermediate: Halfway i.e. intermediate what the letter “I” means. The basics of the game are attached to the actual game skills only by using these middle level skills. This is where the difference between actual game skills and these middle level techniques must be clearly understood. Intermediate skills in soccer coaching are not the actual game skills. But these are the building blocks to build up the actual game skills.

Game: These are the game skills that enable the player to play the game while in field. These skills are taught to the players so as to enable them to perform in the live tournaments.

In soccer drills, the use of demonstration-performance method is most helpful. This translates to the fact that you first follow the standard convention of introduction, then explain the body, and the finish it off with a conclusion. In soccer practice, the players must be told what you will instruct them about. Then do it so that kids are able to copy it. And then instruct them to do it themselves.

Teaching has three essential elements; One, kids must be told how to perform. Let them know the skill and alongside, teach them on how this will improve their game. Then, it must be demonstrated to them as to how to perform that trick. Show the players the skill or technique you wish them to learn. It is generally known that kids pick up visuals more.

To conclude, make the kids practice each and every skill. They must be given sufficient time and guidance to practice and master that skill. Run as many repetitions as are needed for them to learn the skill. Do not give long lectures or instructions. Instead, focus more on showing them tricks and practicing.

In conclusion, instruct them about their performance in soccer practice. Also educate them about the steps needed by the players to perk up their performance. Just test it right away and you will be surprised at how well it improves your training routines.
